There was one guy in my college town, he was homeless and every year around holiday time he would rush into the local Subway sandwich shop and scream, "Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Lick my hoop!". Now I know that is English but it is certainly a new way of saying it.

Polish: Merry Christmas = Wesolych Swiat

Happy New Year's= Szczesliwego nowego roku(trying saying that 10 times fast!)

German: Merry Christmas= Froliche Weinachten(spelling is a bit off I think)

I've never met a Greek who said, "Kali protochronia." It's just "kali chronia." (Καλή χρονιά) But the generic, never-fail Greek for any celebration (birthday, which they largely do not do, name day, independence day, no day, Christmas, New Year's) is Chronia Polla - Χρόνια Πολλά - Many Years.
