Hi,
Please suggest some beauty salons in Pyeongchon area or Seoul for Hair Cut.
1. How much do they cost for a simple hair cut like a 'U' cut or 'V' cut?
2. How much for a layer cut?
3. I heard something about Magic straightening. How is it done? How long does it stay? how much charge?
4. Are there services for waxing hands & legs? What is the approx cost ? |

The Green Turtle in Itaewon is full of ex-pat women getting their hair done. I dont know how much it is, but it must be quite reasonable - a lot of English teachers go there. I wouldnt go there on a Saturday - too busy. There is also Family Hair (closer to the Noksapyoung subway stop & opp. McDonalds). They both also do waxing, but I think Pronails (across the road; behind Hard Rock Cafe & turn right) do a better job.
Sorry no Green Turtle Number.

| i get my hair done at the green turtle every month. a cut will run you about W20,000 (i don't think the type of cut - layers, trim, etc. - matters too much), with a free style. the number is 027906696. definitely call for a reservation as they tend to be booked frequently during peak hours. |

Just about any hair salon will do simple cuts (layering, or '층' in Korean wont cost extra) for 10,000 won or so
As for the straightening, prices range from 30,000 around the uni areas (esp Ewha and Sookmyung) to 150,000+ in the more well-off areas like Gangnam.
Downside is, you wouldn't be able to communicate.
The places that have already been mentioned may be slightly more expensive but at least you'll be able to tell the people holding scissors what it is you want before they start chopping away |

uhm.. "cheung"
the "eu" sound should come out properly if you shut your jaws, bite down lightly, smile and just make sound come out. I don't know how else to describe this if you don't know the Korean alphabet.. |
