Here's an important documentary to watch if you care to know what exactly could be on your dinner table. See how international farmers are being bullied by one "agricultural company". See how this company is killing the wonderful diversity of the world's food crops to control world food production remotely from its headquaters in the U.S. This might sound like fiction and I wish it were. But it's real.
The World According To Monsanto, a French / Canadian co-op film production is a very credible source. The documantary was produced in conjunction with the National Film Board of Canada so you can be sure that the facts have been checked. But as with all documantaries, you must see it and be the judge. Enjoy! Share it with a friend.
Interestingly, but not surprisingly - Not sold on Amazon.com, the U.S. website, but available on Amazon.ca, the Canadian one. http://www.amazon.ca/World-According-Monsanto-Marie-Monique-Robin/dp/B001BBQCMC/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1228877241&sr=8-1

Back home in St. Louis, Monsanto is well known to be evil, but is said to offer the best good jobs though it's unknown who does these jobs. There's no way these garbage products are any good for the environment and inside our bodies. It's only about maximizing profits at everyone's cost with no regard to the future of life on Earth. |

Monsanto is poisoning the earth and killing people. They're so greedy that in a company memo, they said that they didn't want to lose even $1 in profits - not even $1.
They make Wal-Mart look like angels. |

east of st.louis on the illinois side is an old monsanto plant. completely shuttered save a skeleton crew of about 5 people. completely toxic. will never be closed down. if monsanto were to do such, they'd have to clean it up and that is money they don't want spent.
if this is what they do in their backyard, imagine what'll do to places where they don't live.
(no shortage of st.louis folks doing ESL abroad.) |

There's a Korean guy working the indoor swimming pool counter in smalltown Goseong, Gyeongsangnamdo who lived in St. Louis for a few years. Nice guy, decent English for chatting. Stop by if you're ever in that small town. He recommends good places to eat. |

This is what imagined was the ulterior motive for the American beef scare - it's introduced cheaply for consumers to the market, then there becomes dependence on it as local suppliers are pushed out, then the prices rise steeply. It was probably fortunate for the Korean farmer that the mad cow came about.
The India example where Monsanto first introduced biotech-plants is a case in point, where now seeds are four times more than a decade ago, and where farmers cannot buy traditional seeds anymore.
Mexico, GM seeds are half the price of traditional seeds, as Monsanto is just breaking the market. Wait a few years, prices will be higher.
That's just the market side of the problem. How about the health and social sides of it?
Itaewon guy is right, one should buy shares in this group - if you have no moral conscience. |
