|
|
Look alive fellows: the Canadian dollar is falling hard.
I'm hoping it'll go low enough today or tomorrow to drop below the magic threshold at which I feel comfortable sending money home.
I know there are plenty of other threads discussing the ups and downs of the won. I have no prediction about it one way or the other.
Just wanted to give you folks a head's up to possibly take advantage of this news in case it turns out to be short-lived. |

Google Finance currently has it at 0.000900710. Or 1110.20 in reverse.
Here's hoping! |

Here's hoping. Friday is my last chance to send money for awhile since I'm going to be out of the country. |

obviously that didn't last. Its still at 79 cents US and 1141 WON.
I wonder how quick the stores will be to jack the prices back up. It took them over a year to reduce the prices when the dollar was at parity, I bet it doesn't take them half as long t put them up again. |

It's tied to the federal gov't black hole, I bet.
Let's hope they get things even more screwed up. |

It doesn't look like it has dropped but the KW has increased.
The KW will continue to increase for the next few months as it has taken a kicking recently. |

| I am not into sacrificing goats and 28 year old South Korean virgins, but I'm thinking the sluggishness in the USA is going to catch up to Canada and the dollar will continue to drop. The only possible bump would be if those dam yankees up their consumption of Canadian oil. |
