I need to take some Japanese lessons (beginner) - anyone know if there's anything available that isn't taught in Korean (cause the only sentence I know in Korean is Mekju Hana Chuseyo!). Would have to be somewhere near downtown Seoul.

thanks much

Where do you live? My wife used to teach a co-worker of mine basic Japanese. My wife is Korean, but she speaks English very well, and she can get you started on reading and speaking.

Even from a beginners level, a good language school shouldn't use anything other than Japanese.

There are PLENTY of Japanese in Korea and Seoul. Just go to any Korean-language institute at a university and post a sign asking for Japanese lessons. There will be plenty of people interested.
