|
|
So rumours are buzzing that from March English will be taught by homeroom teachers only in Seoul elementary schools and there will not be any Englishee only subject teachers. The NT will work with all the homeroom teachers instead. The classes will come to the English room with the homeroom T. Or the NT will visit all the homeroom classes. Apparently a lot of schools piloted the scheme this year.
Anyone heard anything? |

It's funny if that is the brave new policy, because that happens in all backward rural schools where there is no other option. |

Well that's going to leave everything up to the FTs 95% of the time. I can't imagine what it would be like to be a HR teacher who hasn't studied English for 20 years and having kids who've gone to hagwons with FTs five times a week for five years in the class. |

Yeah that's how it works in every school I've worked at. What a revelation. |

if this is the case, doesn't SMOE have an elementary school curriculum for foreign teachers to follow anyways? |
