I want to post this as a warning to any teachers interested in working for this hagwom.
This is the second time in the space of a year that this has happened. The first time the teachers were told in advance. This time, the teachers were not even told. Yes that is correct:
THE DIRECTOR WENT HOME WITHOUT TELLING THE TEACHERS THAT THEY WEREN'T GETTING PAID!
The director was notified earlier in the day but did NOT tell the teachers.
This particular school is the Daejeon Noeun branch.
It is obvious that this school has no respect for their hard working teachers. I understand that they are currently hiring for March. In light of this I would urge teachers to think long and hard before signing with this school.
Oh and they don't pay pension. |

Some teachers have health insurance and some don't. |

I alomost got sucked into working for either your branch or the one at the university-named subway station just across the Han River from Cheongdam Station on good ol' Line Number 7.
Anywho, Roch on!

Lucky escape.
What legal position are teachers in at this school? Teachers have now been paid late twice, although by only a day each time. Surely this constitutes a breach of contract by the school?
It has also emerged that Korean teachers at the school have not been paid in full for the last 4 months. |

Well, the big America usually pays on time each Friday.
Little America hagwon? That sounds dodgy. Thanks for the warning. |

Labor won't see it that way. They won't even file your complaint until the pay is 15 days late.
Course, you do have rock solid cases with pension and insurance. Major fines involved there for the school if some anonymous source rats them out to the respective boards. |
