This is a Chinese place that identifies itself as "Chinatown" style Chinese, which I think is pretty accurate. Guangdong-ish Westernized Chinese, decor is casual. Reminds me of a PF Chang's type of place. I though the food was great. Service was good as well. Average entree was 12-15k.
Menu included Szechuan Pork/Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Hot and Sour soup, etc etc etc. They didnt' have any kind of back home 'egg roll' that I recognized, but I tried their veg. spring roll and was less than impressed, but all in all I reccomend this place for people who need a fix for the "Chinese Food" we have back in North America. A little on the pricey side, but not too bad.
It's in the Hamilton on the second floor. |

I really like the food there. I've been there twice. I wish there were more Western style Chinese restaurants. Does anyone know of any others? |

| I don't know of any other restaurants, but Ho Lee Chow (not Ho Lee Chow's, mind you) has a few other locations in Korea, in Apgujeong, Jamshil, Bundang, and Dogok. However, I've heard that the Itaewon one is the best because they don't try to Korean up the food as much. |

Agreed. Having found a source of white-people Chinese food removed one of the main reasons I have for ever going back to my hometown. |

I have been to the ones in Itaewon, Apgujeong, and Jamsil. I found the one in Apgujeong to be consistently good, the one in Itaewon to be a hit or miss, and then one in Jamsil to be the worst of them.
When HLC has been good, it has been really good. Which reminds me that I have not been there in awhile. It's time for some KungPao Chicken and Hot & Sour Soup. Yummy! |

| Yep, it's overpriced. No doubt about that. But it is the closest thing to Chinese that you get in Korea without it being butchered by the Koreans. If not for the price, I'd probably head there every week. It is damn good eating though. |

Not butchered? You mean butchered to the American style. |
