Hey I am planning on taking a day tour of the DMZ this weekend. But I just got to Korea and do not have a multiple entry visa yet. I am a Canadian citizen.

Do I need my passport to do the tour of the DMZ? I'm not planning on going to the north side

thanks!

You will need to show your passport for identification purposes.

Your passport will not be stamped so it is not necessary to have a multiple entry visa.

I was within rock-throwing distance of the DMZ this summer, and I remember seeing a sign that said something about a 'dress code'. I didn't get close enough to confirm what is needed to go in or what the sign said exactly. I did see a Korean couple on a motorcycle wearing leather get turned away. Maybe they were turned away because of a dress-code infraction. Maybe not. You should find out. Know that this particular crossing was north of Sokcho.
