Hi everybody. So I notice that the restrictions for people teaching in korea is getting more lax. I read somewhere that certain place allow 2 year degree's to teach. My question; Is toefl enought to teach in Korea? I mean without any college education. Thanks |

No. If you have not completed two FULL years of college or more than you are not qualified to teach ESL in Korea. |

You mean you took the TOEFL test and want to know if taking an English proficiency test is enough to allow you to teach in Korea?
If that's the case, then yes. You can teach at a shady hagwon that does not care if you have a degree or not.
I've worked at many hagwons that have had Korean-English-e teachers who did not have degrees.
I currently work PT at a school where one of the teachers is like 24 and never applied to uni, much less graduated...
The Korea is your oyster. BS your way into a job teaching English-e. If you can't, be a recruiter. If you can't recruit, get a cart and start collecting metal and cardboard from the street. There's no shortage of cardboard in my neighborhood and our previous scrap collector has disappeared. PM for details. |
