Just curious...

I got a package from my grandparents today with lots of random things including a flashlight and a laser pointer. Not quite sure what that's about. My grandma also emailed me worried to death that I didn't have scissors or a knife and I wouldn't be able to open my package. Gotta love my grandma:)

Just had one this week:

About 20 packets of red & green Thai curry mixes.
An assortment of Indian curry mixes.
A few packets of suet to make dumplings with.
Jar of Marmite.

My gf has just mailed a food parcel as well, although it's a surprise so I've know idea what's in it.

Nothing, not even a card or letter, but I always sent cards and gifts during each year I spent abroad and from each country I toured.

The most common things I ask for are stick deodorant, anti-itch cream (for mosquito season), sometimes books that you can find here in Korea.

You're wasting your money...."Bomuli", available at any K-pharmacy for ~1000 won is by far THE BEST anti-mozzie itch treatment. It is much better than anything else available in the west. Trust me....
