I am looking for the above mentioned items. Please don't tell me to go to Hanam Mart and pick them up as I am no where near Seoul.
I also know that Costco sells candy canes, but I don't need 300 of them.
If you have these items or can get these items, please let me know.
Cheers |

Ok, fair enough that you are nowhere near Seoul. How about giving a location so as people can possibly help you; or do you want someone to do the leg-work for you in Seoul? |

Ok. I am about an hour and a half from Busan. I'm in a small town. We have a Homeplus and these items are not available there. I'm not really looking for anyone to do the legwork. Either you have seen them or you haven't.
If you have seen them, just give me the name of the place. I have a great co-teacher and I am sure I would be able to have them shipped to me. If you have any of the items, I would be happy to buy them from you. |

I had a thread about the canned pumpkin. http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=135853&highlight=pumpkin
In short, there is no canned pumpkin available in Korea, except maybe in Seoul. It's kind alike the deal with limes. Even though these are durable products that could be shipped anywhere (even the South pole), we can't buy them. Many small things are absent.
Someone gave me this link to a Korean website selling can pumpkin, but I get an error message, "현재 보유수량이 부족해서 0개 이상 구입할 수 없습니다," which translates to, "Currently the retention water content is insufficient and 0 or more will not be able to purchase." This means there really is absolutely no supply of canned pumpkin in Korea, except anything that comes from a US Army base. A poster said it can bought at the Haddon House Market in Hannam which the OP already knew that.
Cranberry sauce is available on Gmarket. http://global.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=118617141&pos_shop_cd=SH&pos_class_cd=111111111&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=cranberry+sauce
I spent some time searching high and low and couldn't find the pumpkin though. There's also one kind of candy cane for sale on Gmarket, but unfortunately they're not the classic red and white ones. http://global.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=152551057&pos_shop_cd=SH&pos_class_cd=111111111&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=candy+cane
OP, I'm just going up to Seoul for Christmas since I have some time off to do so. I'm going to eat some real western food, drink some real beer, and do some shopping for western things I'm out of and needing that are not available on the Gmarket. You can't get alcohol and OTC western medicines on the internet here, but stores in Seoul sell some things. It tends to be that the things we like and want are concentrated only in Seoul rather than being available in all the cities. |

Thanks for the reply. I'll order those candy canes. The cranberry sauce is not available.
Cheers for the response though. I really wanted some pumpkin pie for Christmas. Costco hasn't had it the last few times I was there. Maybe they use the can stuff too. I don't know. I'll take the long drive up there again a couple of days be Christmas. Maybe I will get lucky.
Thanks again. |

| Costco delivers...well...kind of. There is a website called ezshopkorea.com and they have stuff from Costco that they deliver. I think that they may have posted that today (Friday the 12th) is the last day to order for Christmas. If you can read Korean or get a Korean to help you, a couple of nice sites are ehomebakery.com or yoricome.com |

You mean the one near Yangjae, seemingly in the middle of nowhere next to a Emart, right?
The last two times I went (late Nov and last weekend) they didn't have it. After inquiring about 'em the ladies told me they'd start selling them again next autumn Where'd you find yours? |

| I'm going to be at Hannam Supermarket tomorrow, and I'm going to be in Kyungsangnamdo Tuesday. Send me a PM and tell me exactly where you are, and I can get you the Cranberry Sauce, at least. |

| Just got back from Namdaemun. I got 5 candy canes for 1,000 won! They aren't classic red & white candy canes though. Green & red...still good though! I also got some other candy goodies...for my students off course. |
