I found a gym to use for some games at "Po Elementary School" (near YangJae area), but we can only use it the Saturday after Christmas (Dec. 27th) from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

I'd like to have at least 4 teams to compete against each other that day. I'm not sure if we can get in enough games to do a double elimination tourny (maybe if we kept the clock running the whole time or shorten the games?)

Anyway, if you can get a team together, and want to play, let me know!

So far, for sure, we have a team from Love Church -- mostly college age, and co-ed. I haven't seen them play, so I can't tell you how good they are or not.

I'm trying to get a team together from my church as well, and I asked a friend to get a team together as well. It would be nice if I could find some volunteer refs and score/clock keepers to make sure things are on the up and up. If not, we'll have to resort to "call your own", which hopefully won't get too out of hand.

We're only renting it for 22,000 won compared to 100,000 won everyone else was charging in the area. I'm still trying to develop some type of league, but this is a start in that direction. I'll keep you posted on more details! Peace!

YangJae is a neigherhood in south Seoul (Seochu district. I think it would take you several hours to get here from Daegu, but if you want to join us, make the trip!

So far, I'm hoping to form a team form my church (8-10 players), and last I heard, Love church will be bringing 2 teams (obviously at least 5 players on each team).

I hope to hear back from their contact person sometime this week.

It'd be nice if we could run a double elimination tourny among the 4 teams, if you're able to make it.

If we have more teams, it'd be cool too, but I'd have to see if they would give us more time to squeeze in all the games. I'll let you know more details as I things progress....

Sarang (Love) Church can only have 1 team make it, so we possibly may have an opening for another team (I have to limit this to 4 teams, due to time constraints).

I hope to finalize everything before Christmas or earlier!

Dukey7777 are you still in?

Anyone else want to "ball" on the 27th? Let me know!

Just found out at the last minute that Poi has something going on that conflicts with our usage of their gym on the 27th!

Sorry for the cancelation! The realator at our church had asked permission to use their gym over a month ago!

On the bright side, I also found out that the baskets weren't 10' , sho we might have had a dunk fest going on rather than a real game!

So, I'll keep on searching for some place to play. I'm still determined to get a league going in the future here.

Again, I aplogize for the inconvenience! Let's make this happen!

Peace!

Our reservation was confirmed. Due to the shortage of time, we won't be able to do a full double-elimination tourny as originally planned.

We hope to get some good games in however between 5 - 7 pm. on Jan. 3rd.

Sarang (Love) Church has 1 team, and we think we can get a team together from my church (Bethel).

If you're able to get a team together that day, we can play "winner stays"/"loser sits out" if we just have 3 teams (first game, random as far as which team sits out first)

If we have 4 teams, we'll try to play winner plays winner and loser plays loser, with the first games being random as far as who plays each other.

If you don't have a team but a couple of you want to play for my church's team, let me know.

I'm supposed to check out the gym tomorrow sometime, if I can squeeze it into my schedule. I'll let you know as far as the gym size, etc.
