For those of you who have Macs, if you have a webcam, what kind is it? I am trying to buy one for my mother, who has a Mac Mini, so we can video chat while I'm abroad.
I've been reading how most Logitech cameras ARE compatible with Macs if you download the right drivers, but of course Logitech does not admit this where I can see and I'm worried I'll buy the wrong one.
It doesn't have to be fancy; I'm not looking to spend more than maybe 40-50 dollars. Thanks for your help!! |

First find out if her mini is an Intel or not. THat will help you narrow the list. |

And by the way, All Mac Minis are Intel Based. So it really doesn't narrow the list at all. |

The drivers needed for Logitech webcams are all third-party drivers; Logitech stopped supporting the Mac LONG ago, despite continuing to put the Mac logo on their boxes. Logitech drivers will not work for Macs, you have to go third-party.
I'll list the ones I have/use once I get home. |
