| Do you think that Kim Yu-na will be the 2009 world champion? She finished third in both 2007 and 2008, but she seems to have improved since changing coaches to Brian Orser. |

| In the image whoer championships? Yes, I think she might actually be able to knock Tiger Woods aside, but David Beckham still has a bit of momentum. |

she puts the sk in skating.
seriously, though. if you spent a moment or to chatting with my students you'd think she was already the reigning world champion. i was surprised, pleasantly of course, when i found out she wasn't. |

She is one of a handful of contenders. Ranked 3rd in the world I think. Be interesting if she could take a World and Olympic gold.
Best move was dumping her Korean coach for Brian Orser. |

| She came in second in last night's event, which must be quite a disappointment, but I'm still thinking that she can improve on her standings from the last two years. If she can get her nerves under better control, she'll do it. |

| She has the talent to be a world champion. So do a handful of other figure skaters. Its all about who can bring their A game on the day of competition. |

Nope, definitely second, Asada Mao was first. I think Asada will probably end up beating her but she should definitely come in second at least. |

| Asada won the women's overall, I think, while Yuna won the short. It appears that South Korea resorted to some childish tricks to throw Asada off her game but I am still trying to confirm or deny the accusation. |

Check your facts. |

| Kim Yu-na edged chief rival Mao Asada of Japan for the top score in the short program Friday, putting the 18-year-old on course to make it a three-peat. |
Kim led after the short program, but had difficulties in the long program and came in second overall.

That's sort of a Korean proverb, warning people not to open the champagne bottle early. As in, celebrate before the victory is sure.
Though Kim might not have done that, everyone around me did. |

| I haven't watched her perform except for newsclips, but even in newspaper photos she always seems to sport a very worried expression. |
