Back home you can get dental work done for about 1/4 the cost of a regular dentist there. But I have been having some work done here (root canal and crown) done at Kyung Hee Univ. Dental School, and it seems more expensive than a private practice dentist here (my out of pocket cost is about 2,000, 000 won total; my health insurance from work paid some in addition to this amount that I paid).
Anyone else had a similar experience here? Seems mighty expensive to me! |

Yes, they are. The upside is that if you work for one of the unis, you get an employee discount of about 50%, which then makes it cheaper than a private practice. |

| University dental centers can be more expensive. It depends on who did the dental work. If it was a professor it would be more expensive. A senior resident is about 40% cheaper. |
