I worked for 6 years in Korea on E-2 visas and then took a year off to study online. I continued to stay in Korea with friends and study. I tried to apply for a visa after my course ended in June, but my visa was rejected because my CRC was city, not state. I didn't want to take "any" job just to get a visa, so it took me a while to find a decent job. Now, my job doesn't start until March, so I'm waiting.
My concern: I have been told that people who have been on tourist visas long term have been rejected for new visas. How can I prevent this from happening? I want to work in Korea again. What do I need to show immigration to have them approve my visa application? What can I say to persuade them to approve me? |

It's not a policy though. It's up to the discretion of the individual Immigration officer. If I were you, I wouldn't say anything unless asked. Otherwise I'd just handle things as I did before with regards to getting the E-2 visa. |
