				| Anyone know if Bill Bryson has his books translated into Korean? I'm looking for the Australian one and I'm hoping I can get it in Seoul in the next week. |

				| I've seen his books in Kyobo bookstore but not sure if they are available in Korean. That would be a good starting place though. |

i saw a couple of the more popular ones (a walk in the woods, neither here nor there) at 'what the book' in itaewon, but that was a while back 1.5 years ago in the used book section.

personally- he's one of my favorite authors and i always read 'the mother tongue' as least once a year!! especially while teaching english. if you find any other places, please post as well. |

You can probably have them ordered for you at whatthebook.com

I order books regularly and pay for them at the store....I also pick them up at the store. If you're not close to Seoul, they can be delivered to you. |

				| I bought a Korean translation of "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson as a gift for my wife last year. I think I bought it at the Kyobo store in Gwanghwamun. |

I pulled up "A Short History of Nearly Everything" and "A Walk in the Woods" when I searched for Bill Bryson on www.hanbooks.com, but that's all I've stumbled upon. But I'm actually skeptical of that site because it often seems to have translations I am never able to find elsewhere.

I guess this is a good time to ask if anyone knows if some of the hard-to-find books translated into Korean on that site are decent translations? Like I was never able to find Love in the Time of Cholera anywhere except on that website. I went to the Koreatown bookstore and the guy researched it and told me that book (and others I've found on hanbooks.com) didn't come translated into Korean. And I got The Confessions of Max Tivoli for a co-worker, who told me that he had never seen that book available anywhere in Korea. Are they some shady poorly-translated pieces of crap being passed off as actual translations, or what? |
