|
|
Is it possible to get pension money if you decide to come back, like on a tourist visa?
I don't have much time, and I need to give the Chinese Embassy my passport for 4 days to process my L visa with them. So, if I come back to Korea (I might do a visa run to work in China, who knows) could I bring my passport in and then apply to get it refunded?
Basically, are we screwed out of it if we come back? The travel agency I am going through warned me they think I need my ARC card. So, if I hand it in when I leave Korea, then I obviously won't have it.
If I were to come back to Korea and work again, I would get the same ARC number right? And I would just have pension money added into the same account, correct? |

short answer: Probably
longer answer:you should be able to apply for it while in China, or back in your home country, I had a friend apply for it after he got back to Canada, apparently it was a pain in the... but he eventually got it back, I think he went through Canada pension and they contacted Korean pension for him.

Thank you, I think I will just wait then. It's collecting interest anyway. |

While I am quite certain of all of my previous answers, it probably wouldn't hurt for you to check out the NPS website |

Well, I got something from them last year that showed my balance at the time. Then at the bottom of that page there was a graph showing something that looked like it was explaining how much it would build up to with year graph.
I will speak with the pension people Monday and find out. |
