One of the best things about Christmas for me has always been the music.

Where and when are there going to be some carolling events? Please post them here.

Last year there was a Festival of Lessons and Carols at the Anglican Cathedral in Seoul. Does anyone know the date and time for it this year?

There seems to be a lack of Christmas events info this year. I'm not finding anything and asked in a thread, but no one is saying anything productive. (yet) I'm expecting to learn about dinners and events on short notice as this is Korea. Yaya has an idea, but they're only going to tell you anything pertaining to any events in their bar; not what they know is going on in Seoul. If you're in Seoul, you might chat with and ask people sitting at a bar.

On the main page of EFL classroom click the Christmas Music link. Nice pop up player with all the songs. Click the arrow to download. These are also in our Christmas folder of the A/V player (click the watch tab).

Lots of karaoke karols in the video karaoke section (Kool karaoke under watch). All the major ones. Or use the dozens of ppts with songs/audio in the Christmas Resource Share area...

You have all you'll need. Check out the Int. Radio Player. Stations from all over the world including the new Seoul English station. Also a few exclusive Christmas stations....

All you can handle....

Christmas music is the WORST thing about Christmas.

When I was in college, I worked in a few stores and the month of December was torture with constant repeats of Wham, Fairy Tale of New York and all the same shit again and again and again on the radio. We weren't allowed turn it off unless the manager was out. God it was awful...

I'm talking about classic Christmas carols, e.g. White Christmas, Winter Wonderland, Sleigh Ride, The Christmas Song, O Holy Night, etc., higher spiritual stuff, e.g. "The Holly and the Ivy," "Tomorrow Shall be My Dancing Day," all the way up to the classics such as Handel's Messiah.

I now I just missed one Messiah, but if it is anything like New York, there are tons of Messiahs in Deccember. Last year there was a singalong one here. Does anyone know if there is again this year?

OK, I finally found this:

Quote:
Christmas Carol Service of Nine Lessons and Carols in English at Seoul Anglican Cathedral main sancturay Sunday December 21, 2008 at 5 pm. The Cathedral is located opposite Seoul City Hall beside Deoksoo Palace next to the British Embassy.

That is good for a start, but there ought to be more going on around town. Anybody?
