I've never been but plan to move there shortly.

Any recommendations as to which dong to choose?....preferably somewhere close to park or somewhere open and clean to run.

Thanks,

Maybe for that litle bit more of newer look and open area try Manyeon-Dong.

Also check out socius.or.kr for some more info on what to do in Daejeon.

I live in Mannyeon-dong now but I won't recommend it to anyone, really. The bus routes suck and the nearest subway is a good 15/20 mins walk away.

I am moving soon and plan on going to Wolpyeong-dong, near the subwayn stop and the supermarkets.. but also near a kindergarten I want my daughter to go to..

Dunsan is pretty good, too.

I live in Song Chon Dong. No subway but very large park. Good schools in the area. A very solid middle class neighborhood. Tons of restaurants and drinking places.

Its about a W5,000 taxi ride to Dunsan Dong or to Eun Heng Dong. My wife's father is a Real Estate lawyer and he recommended we buy here over other places and Daejeon.
