Still, this place had it going on... I'll be around there today. I'd like to find it. |

Best I can remember... leave the station and go up and over the bridge. If you are facing the bridge you go right. You walk in this parking lot and their is a staircase down into the fish market. Facing straight from the fish market go left and walk until you are outside. There is a bank nearby to the right. The beef place is on your left just outside. |

For the cheapest beef I have found yet (about 650 won/100g) follow these instructions:
(it's about a 30 min. walk from the subway station or take a taxi to the building - address is towards the bottom)
-Go to Noryangjin on the 4 ling (subway).
-Take exit 1.
-After going down the stairs go over an overpass/bridge.
(no, not the one to your immediate left)
-Take the overpass that is up a flight of stairs (offset to the left a bit but essentially in front of you)
-Follow the bridge until you come to a parking lot
-You will see a building that says "Love your life" "Love your dream." Head towards it.
-Ignore the cars/empty parking spaces to your right and left.
-There is a small building with an opening that you must walk down (there is a handrail by the entrance)
-Walk down two flights (or take the balcony for those of you familiar with the fish market).
-Take an immediate left (notice the numbers on the lower right hand corner of the vendor's signs -- the vendor numbers by the stairway you came down are 162, 164, and 165; there are also a clock and a couple of air conditioning units but you must look closely).
-You will pass an overhead digital sign.
-Walk straight until you leave the building that the fish market is in.
-Immediately upon doing so, you will see a bank that might be obstructed by vendors' umbrellas so look carefully. First it says "Authorized Foreign Exchange Bank" and then you will see Suhyup Bank.
-A little down the street and on the left (about across from the bank) is a the building (past the 3 phone booths on your right). There is a sign that says "US Meat Export Federation." The sign is not huge so look closely.
-The name of the store is 고기스토아.
-The address of the building is 159-5 노들길.
-The phone number is 822-5500 (the banner covered any possible area code). Does anyone know the proper area code? |
