Just been trying the new skydrive virtual drive.
pretty bloody good, 25 gb free space!
I thought it was crap at first because you couldn't upload entire folders, just files one at a time, but then I dl'd gladinet and basically skydrive becomes a virtual drive on your computer; drag and drop (it has settings for picasa too)
I think the upload from gladinet is slow because of the limitation of files only (there's also a 50mb file size limit which seems ridiculous.)
also apparently you can direct link to stuff you upload there so people can see the files (and I think download them) without having to login to windows live.
I guess it's only a matter of time before Google come out with a better version with more storage, but until then... |

i can see the benefits ... other systems will have slow upload/download speeds, but this should be much quicker.
25gb is enough for most people ... you can store a hell of a lot!
i'm going to have a look at it ... for sure. |
