I know these are basically last year's models but the specs are adequate for what I want it to do. The new 1000H with a SSD would be the bee knees as well but in this case smaller is better and the build quality of the 701 also seems quite solid.

I have heard that there are many versions even of this one model (the 701) so I'd like to see the item in person before I purchase it. I've seen them on Danawa but most of the shops are outside of Busan and may not even have storefronts to speak of.

I guess I would be willing to make a trip to Seoul to check it out but would prefer not to.

Why not go for the 9 inch version? AFAIK, they have the same dimensions. If you see pictures of the 7 inch, you can see that there are large black borders around the screen. Looks horrid, and is a lot of wasted space.

I'm sure they have some variant of netbook in the Busan area. Reference the thread above to find the electronics market there. (I'm not in Busan, fyi.)

I went to Gangbyeon Technomart in Seoul a little while ago. Saw just one or two 701s in the whole place. Many more 901s. I'd go for the 901 if I was you. It's basically the same case, but with a bigger screen and faster chip.

The screen size is critical. 800*480 doesn't cut it for most internet sites.
