Does the itinerary that my travel company sent me count as my E-ticket? It does have an e-ticket number on it, but no bar code. |

Did you pay for the flight? If so, I'd say probably.
The best way to check this is to log onto the airline's website, punch in your code and it'll give you options about seats, info about the plane, etc. If it doesn't take your code, call the agent and get things straightened out.
A faster way would be to call the airline and have them confirm the reservation number. |

You just need the number. You don't need the bar code. Mine's like that. I've been using e-tickets for several years now. |

I don't know what all of this fuss about paperwork is about. I always use e-tickets. Because of nonsense like this and my own risk aversion, I print out whatever I can. I go to the airport. At the counter, I simply hand them my passport. I have never once been asked for the documents I printed. |

I think even the e-ticket numbers are a formality if you've already provided your name and passport number. That being said, I usually print out whatever is emailed to me. Never had any problems whatsoever though. |

It's good to keep a print out but I wouldn't say it's necessary. You definitely don't need a e-ticket number or anything like that.
Go to the airport and give them your passport and they should be able to pull everything up. |

Mt girlfriend had a problem in India, the flight had been changed and the Korean travel agent did not inform her so she would have been stuck in India had she not had a paper copy of her flight details (she had problems getting hold of me for a while)
just a word to the wise. |
