|
|
HI I have been offered a job with pagoda and they pay 2.5m won per month.
But, they only offer 100,000 for accommodation.
They say I should be able to earn up to 3.3m a month depending on how busy I am.
Is this job worth taking? Or should I tell them where to go with such as offer?
I thought it's supposed to be free accommodation included in Korea. |

| No don't take it. Sure you can make 3.3m but you'll be working your fucking ass off. Average Hagwons offer 2.5M WITH free housing. |

| Pagoda, no way...run, don't walk. Of course if you are a masochist, then by all means take the job. They are a very ugly company and will threaten people at the drop of a hat. |

This can be said by at least 80% of the hagwons out there, however. |

You dense, son? Milwaukie clearly alludes to a "treatment of employees" issue. Sure, a hundred of two more a month is nice, but is it worth being a slave for? |

Getting away from the brats is often worth working a split shift with longer hours |

But the douchebags in management are not worth it, usually. |

| Do you mean Korean douchebags or western douchebags? The guy who sent me my contract to cosider has a western name and writes like a westerner. Surely a western namager will be ok, no? |

Western people who are made "managers" typically are the ones willing to toe the company line on all matters.
Western recruiters will shaft you just as well as Korean recruiters.
I'm sure there are some good ones (Korean and Western), but they've got an uphill road to climb to prove it to anyone else. |
