If two foreigners end up having a baby in Korea, and the mother/wife doesn't want to work, is she legally allowed to stay in the country if the father/husband still has a job/E2 visa?

| Yes she is. That is the situation I am currently in. My wife stays at home to take care of our son. I have an E2 visa, and she and my son have an F3 visa. They are tied to my visa. She cannot work while on the F3 visa. |

Yes, you totally can. I was here on an E-2 visa and switched it to a F-3 visa when my contract ended two months before my due date. When our son was born we got a F-3 visa for him. Both my son and I are listed under my husband's Korean medical plan too.
As with Polonius and family, both of our F-3 visas are tied to my husband's E-2 visa. You will need to show immigration your marriage certificate when your wife wants to change her visa status. |
