Last winter I found a nice ski package that included room, lift tickets, rental, transportation through the Korea tourism website. It doesn't seem like they have one this year.

Anyone know a website or travel agent that has good weekend ski packages in Korea?

Adventure Korea has some. But I pay less by gathering friends, taking a bus, renting a room and using my own equipment while other people rent. Even without personal gear, doing it yourself is cheaper than AK. But if you don't have a group to share a room, AK is a good deal.

If you go into gmarket or interpark they will have bus tickets and lift tickets at discount prices. Also, board and ski hire as well.

Packages? Not really sure. But incorporating everything that you mentioned it would end up being expensive. Yongpyong has a hostel that you can book which is really cheap (can't remember the contact details).

Last season I would save about 3,000won for bus and 20,000won for gondola tickets. Have my own gear.

Yes, AK is handy as everything is done for you but you pay a bit extra for it though. But ideal if you are just going by yourself.

a ski package will be long -- like over 180 cm, usually -- and not too have a very big diameter. The diameter will be bigger on one side, though.
