From what I have heard, if you buy a Korean XBOX 360 you will not be able to play american games on it. I think they are region coded. On that note, I am buying a new 360 tonight, and would like to know from anyone on here that has one, how is it playing Korean versions of the games? How far can you go with language settings? Mostly in English?
Also, XBOX Live in Korea. Can I still play with my friends who are back in the US, or are the servers different? And, can I buy a prepaid XBOX live card here just like back in the US?
Thank you in advance. |

You might need to worry about voltage if the Xbox 360 isnt universal 100-240v. Always better to get one shipped as you might want to keep it even after your contract is done. I brought my Wii because theirs is 220v and is in Hangul. |

I'm planning on staying here for a while and I know Korean pretty well, so I don't mind a korean xbox, but I'm still wondering about the xbox live here. How easy is it to get set up? |

Is there any Korean on the Korean Xbox? I've never seen any. |

Have the xbox 360 modded. Easy process to flash the dvd drive if you know a decent amount about electronics and have some time to read. Or I could do it for you if you live in the Busan area. After its modded you can play any region and tv format.
PS3 cannot be modded and I don't know anything about region coding on it. |

Can you still play online with a modded machine? I've heard that if you get an XBOX modded it wont work with xbox live any more. |

nope it wont work. Also check out play-asia.com they have what is region coded and what is not. I bought a 360 here and 2 games and not once was any of it in Korean. Also, I looked on that site and my parents are sending me two games from America after I checked about the region coding. PS3 you can play anything. |
