Yo, pulled a bonehead move and totally forgot that because of a visa extension this year I lost my multiple entry visa in my passport.

What's the skinny on getting this done at Incheon? My flight is at 8:00 on Saturday morning.

Am I better off hitting up the Mokdong office tomorrow AM and asking for some emergency help, or getting to Incheon early and dealing with them there on Saturday? Both?

everytime i've asked for a multiple reentry at the airport they've said they don't do it (and i fly in and out every 6 months or sooner)

multiples are only done at the embassy for 50,000

singles at the airport are still 30,000

If you have the time, go to Mokdong to get the Multiple re-entry. I have seen the line at Incheon take over an hour to get through, but I have also seen it take only 10 minutes. Plus, as mentioned above, you cannot get a multi-pass at Incheon.

They can do it at Mokdong really quickly, pending on the length of the line-up. Once you are at the service desk, it is a matter of minutes.

I've gotten 3 multiples at Incheon over the last 5-6 years.

That is really strange as I and many others that I know have tried and been denied. I am not sure on the regulations with regards to each country, but I hear that Brits get their re-entry free. Could that be the reason? Are you British, and thus automatically have a re-entry permit but only need to apply for it?

Yea, me too.

I've had no problems getting multiple entries at Incheon, and the last time they stopped charging for it.

Nope. Canadian. It's not free, and it's not automatic as it is for Americans. Even GETTING my visa, I tell the consulate here's money for the multiple, just give me the multiple. "No." (This is seconds after my American friend got a multiple without even asking for it)

They will give me the single, then AFTER I arrive in Korea I have to apply for the multiple separately. (This is in the Fukuoka, Osaka, and Tokyo consulates... maybe other countries are different). But in getting the multiple at the airport, I have had no problems with it. Well, not counting them acting like arrogant dickheads.

I've gotten the single re-entry at the airport 3 or 4 times now and it's always taken less than 10 minutes. I don't think any of those times were around any major holidays though.

Visa waivers are only for tourist entry. WORK visas are single entry only. If you want to leave on vacation, you need a SE stamp. You could get several SE stamps if you want, I suppose, but ME is cheaper if you leave several times throughout the year.

Last time I was at Incheon, I asked at immigration for a multiple entry visa, and then told me 'no', and that I could only get a single-entry at Incheon. Then, the immi woman pulls up my file on her computer, saw that I'm not on an E-2 visa, and said "no problem". I got the multiple-entry. Therefore, I think it has something to do with the type of visa you're on.

Went to Mokdong and got the multiple entry stamp. The guy at the counter said it was a good idea to go there because the holiday rush can really slow down/back up the branch at Incheon.
