I'm looking to stay here in March after my contract expires but I only want to do a few months (3-6) at that point.
I'm wondering what kind of work is available for a short term employee, and how willing hagwons would be to take me on? I'd still sign a year contract and get the e-2, but with the agreement that I'd be leaving earlier. I figure there's a few advantages for them, mainly that they wouldn't need to pay me my bonus and they wouldn't have to front a ticket over here.
I have a few questions.
1. I'm wondering if recruiters are worth even looking into, as I dont' think there's much of an incentive for them as the hagwon probably won't pay a recruiter very much of a fee for a short term person such as myself.
2. Also, if anyone has gone thru this short term set up before, is there a risk of a hagwon being shady and withholding pay? I'm not planning on coming back here so I guess I wouldn't really need a LOR, I don't see them having any real leverage over me in that respect, but I can't see thru all their tricks.
3. All the big chains worth looking into? I'm really looking for the minimum amount of hours necessary to sponsor a visa, as I'm really just waiting out the downturn back home and low won value.
Thanks in advance for any help. |
