So one of my favorite movies of all time is My Neighbor Totoro and I use it's theme song to wake up to every morning (I am definitely a morning person).

I've been hearing this song everywhere I go though! Some of my third grade classes use it as their assembly song and its played on the PA during lunch time. Does anyone know if the song has some kind of back story beyond its use in My Neighbor Totoro?
