Subject says it all. I'm moving from China to Korea, and most if not all of my household electric appliances are made for the Chinese electrical system. Will they be compatible in S. Korea or am I looking to buy a bunch of transformers and burnt out electrical products? Thanks for any tips. |

the plugs won't fit.
look on the back of the appliances and see if they are 220. many appliances are 110/220. if they handle 220 you can just change the plug end. i did that with some things when i moved here from china. if the appliances are cheapos, just scrap them.
if they are not 220, you will need a power converter. they are easy to find here... any major department store carries them. |

Thanks for the reply. China uses 220, so if Korea does too, then they should all for the most part be compatible. Sounds like the only problem will be the heads then, and if a cheap little adapter fixes that, then I'm set. Just wanted to make sure people had experience using the extension cords with the adapters and what not. So far sounds OK though. Thanks again. |
