Dictation races.

Put the students into groups teams. Nominate one student in each group a writer give them a blank piece of paper. Nominate all the other students runners. Paste the sentences you wish them to learn on the blackboard.
All the runners must go to the front of the class read the sentences memorise them and then go back to their groups and tell the writers the sentences. The students compete to rewrite everything on the page.

Find the other half. Photocopy the page. Then cut each sentence in half. Give each students a half of a sentence. students must walk around the class and find their other half.

Chinese whispers. Form one or two groups and put them in lines. The student at the back of the line goes outside. You whisper the sentence to him/her. They whisper to the next students and so on. Do this until all the students in the front row have to write the sentences on the board.
