I've been checking out some of the ladies (18-30?) here and noticed some things.

Some of them have their big toe nail painted only.

A lot of them have the Joan Jett style mullet. Don't argue with me on whether or not JJ's do is a mullet. It short in the front and on top and long in the back.

Most of them have fairly chunky legs/calves. If they've walked as much as I have the last week or so I find this amazing.

I'm getting really sick of red dyed hair

They don't dress as seductively as I would prefer. Since I'm a guy this is a given, but what I'm trying to say is that when it turns spring and summer in Southern Cali, all you see is skin, T&A. As hot as it is in Seoul, I'd at least expect to see shorts or skirts.

There is more pantyhose usage here than I have seen anywhere else. By the way, Ladies, what is the purpose of pantyhoses?

1. Stockings of some kind are frequently required at the work place. My school is pretty funny about bare legs socks stockings something but not bare legs. (Big toe thing is a fashion thing get over it)

2. IT'S PANTYHOSE NOT PANTYHOSES. &^%#x#@

Have a nice day or not.

I think Korean high school girls all have to get their hair cut to the same length. This means either a weird little hair style where they try to put what hair they have left into a ponytail or the Joan Jett shaggy style.

Trust me, Korean women show a lot more skin today then they did 3 or 4 years ago. When I came here summer of 2000, in the dead of summer, women were wearing long skirts and nothing more revealing than a golf shirt. A Korean friend wore Bermuda shorts back in the late '90s and was called a ho by the men on campus.

My GF only seems to paint some of her toes. I asked her why, she said she doesn't have time to paint all of them. She works 6 days a week, 10-11 hours on most days. Young Koreans are not people blessed with a lot of time.

Yeah, that's what they say- no time. It's just some kind of trend, because a lot of them do it. If it takes an hour for 1 toe to dry, why not paint the others? I think the 1 painted toe thing is some kind of visual clue for passersby. Attention: I'm wearing open-toed shoes- keep clear.

Doesn't have time to paint the others? HAHAH. That's the funniest thing I've heard all day. It takes like two seconds. Razz Oh the poor Koreans, don't have time to paint all their toe nails... Crying or Very sad

You want to see some leg? Wait for the coldest days of winter; that's when the miniskirts come out. (!)

Coolsage beat me to it.

You *must* be a newbie, for everyone who's been in Korea for more than 12 consecutive months knows that Korean ladies only wear miniskirts in the dead of winter.

Here follows the First Law of Korean Fashion

The length of one's miniskirt is inversely proportional to the ambient outdoor temperature.

...or, it might be directly related to the amount of mercury actually showing in the thermometer...

A lot of those pantyhose are actually thigh-highs...more excited? What I personally don't think are all that attractive or sexy are those little short-sock nylon thingies. I tell the girls that they look like grand-ma socks.
