I'm not sure exactly what caused it but I pretty much have food poison. Last night, was how to put it gently, strange and slightly disgusting. I went to the doctor this morning and got some meds for it.
Has anyone else had this? If so how long did it take to go awaY? Also anyone have any home remedies that I should know about? |

A couple of days. Drink lots of water so you don't dehydrate, and gatorade or Pocari Sweat will have the salts you need. Go to the yak-gook and ask for Norumo-A Powder, that will settle your stomach a bit, and get a few of those vitamin drinks while you're there. Good luck. |

Did you eat street food? I'm slightly kidding, but I've had the same thing here before and deduced that is where it came from. Do as Strap said and you should be ok soon enough. |

Tanklor,
I have had food poisoning as well, about three years ago. Other then the meds your doctor gives you, all you can do is get rest and drink plenty of fluids. Try to eat very light meals so you don't overwhelm your body and of course stay close to a bathroom (but I'm guessing you know that already). |

I've had food poisoning here twice. Both times from Pizza. Once Pizza Hut, once a Korean Pizza joint. And I got Food poisoning in the US once...from a pizza joint. Sbarros, or however you spell it. There's one in COEX.
I like pizza, but I guess I've got a 1% chance of getting poisoned from it. |

Sbarros is garbage anywhere in the world.
As for the food poisoning, get yourself some soda crackers, they're pretty gentle for when you can start consuming food again.
Bananas are also good. |

Where all in the world is Sbarros? Is it really garbage in all of those places? I really want to avoid it if I happen to go there.
As far as food poisoning advice goes; you mommy taught you well. |

I grew up with a sensitive stomach since I was a teenager, I've had to handle that kind of situation a lot. I always keep a box of the Crown soda crackers (white box) in my cupboard. There is a refeeding diet called BART (Bananas, apples, rice and toast (dry)) I add the soda crackers to that, and anything else gentle my stomach can generally tolerate.
Sbarros is also in Canada. It is pretty sub-par there. Apparently its in 43 different countries:

| I had it from chicken once. My stomach cramped up for 3 days, I puked a lot, and had diarrhea. Drink Gatorade and water. You probably won't be eating much, but that's good in a way as it makes your body just flush it all out and get well again. Hope you feel good for New Years Eve. You should be over it by Wednesday. |

Are you sure it's food poisoning and not the stomach flu that is going around?
Do you have a fever to go with everything else? |

| Stay on the BRAT diet for a few days. Bananas, Rice (no butter), Applesauce (you can make it in your microwave or on the stove), Toast (dry, no butter .. a little jam maybe on the 2nd or 3rd day. |

I had a kid with the flu a few days ago... it might be that
I have had food poisoning a few times and I'm happy that I didn't throw up, everything through another exit instead. I usually have an iron stomach and food doesn't upset it so i can't give much advice about what to eat to settle the stomach. My little brother swears by raspberry cereal bars; "they magically taste good going down AND back up!" |
