Hey fellas, I'm new to the board and I'm just saying hello. Very Happy

It's been some time since I landed in Korea and I was getting depressed
about not having anyone from the motherland, or it's likeness, to speak
to...and finally here! Hallelujah! This place is an oasis. Smile

Actually, It took me quite an effort to find this place.
(Why is english spectrum empty? I heard it's the biggest english teacher community in Korea.)

p.s. Hope I'm posting in the appropriate board.
p.p.s. Happy new Year!

Welcome Jake. There are ladies here too. You might want to say hello to them as well.

Not to mention, Mr. Dokdo. Not sure what species he is---

Jake,

Welcome...this board can be good at times, but a crapfest at other times. Take anything you read on here with a grain of salt.

My advice is get a tourist map and your camera and find places you want to go. There's more to life then getting drunk off your ass every weekend and pissing people off. Make friends with both other foreigners and Koreans.

The first year here was the most difficult and after that it got easier.

Jake, maybe when you're no longer a "newbie", you'll understand to put this kind of crap in the "Off-Topic" forum. You're not posting on the appropriate board.

Point taken, but at least it wasn't posted on the 'job discussion' forum.

I think he posted this in the proper forum. He is talking about life in Korea. And why do you say his post is crap?

Jake, where in Korea are you located. Let people know, and maybe you can start meeting people in your city/town/neighborhood.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. 'Chinaboy' is just having a bad day because he's 'on the rag'. Wink

Happy New Year!
