Last I heard the ones by SamgakJI were about 40million down and 1.5m a month.

I don't know about Beotigogae.

It's usually spelled Itaewan.

The actual Itaewan and Haebangchon areas are cheaper than the high rises outside of them. There are a lot of awful places in the area, but a few nice ones as well if you put in some legwork.

Why do you want to live outside of Itaewan? I can understand wanting to live INSIDE Itaewan because it's cheap, but I can't think of a good reason to live outside of it..

You're looking at some of the most expensive units in central Seoul there. Think 750,000,000 to 1 billion won to buy.

I see one listed across the road from Samgakji station asking 50 million won down and 3 million won per month rent! That's a big place... 132 sq. meters.

Eyetaiwan.

Yeah, I looked at some apartments near Seoul Station with some chick last Saturday. I was looking, but she was. I was bored right out of my skull because she never shuts up. Anyway, they were pretty nice and I'm pretty sure that price range. Don't know why in the hell she dragged me there.

Here's another:

Youngsan Park Xii wants 100 million won down as a deposit, and 2 million won per month rent.

125 sq. meters... that's like 40 pyung, I think.

Or you can buy a 47 pyung place in that new Daelim fiasco that's being constructed (see the tall dual-tower thing):

You can reserve a unit around that size for the bargain-basement price of just 1 billion 298 million won!
