Gah,
I'm absolute gagging for some friend chicken. I have a hangover from last night and all I want in the world is some damn fried chicken!
I rang Kyochon but the guy just couldnt comprehend how to deal with a non korean speaker, e.g. simple small words, basic order, no questions please.
Has anyone got some tips for ordering chicken from kyochon...what details do they usually want ; i gave my address, room no but he kept wanting more bloody numbers for some reason.
is kyochon chicken any good by the way? I've heard the Korean fried chicken can be pretty damn good, no?
ordered a pizza instead tonight, the girl at that place makes it so simple to order, but damn their pizza is shit, but all after 9 months here that I've managed to order over the phone.
tips please; in dire need. |

Their chicken is shite, but since there are limited options for those not in the know, I'll tell you that you get the menu off your door, say 'yeogi your address, your order juseyo.' They'll be by in a bit. |

Was he maybe asking for your phone number? I've ordered a few times from Kyochon without any problems. |

Some of the smaller chicken/pizza places have good fried chicken. Christ, I had a couple of pieces from Mini Stop last night that were pretty good. |

the first sentence you say right after they pick up the phone
외국인 입니다 (Wargookin Imnida) I am a foreigner
Thus they wont get panic. I tried this and it worked well.
You also need to tell them your number so they can call you when are at your door. (In case they get lost) |

Kyochon is good, but then I discovered BBQ. That stuff is great. It does get a little greasy. I recently tried Hot Sun, the baked chicken place. That is at the top of my list these days. |

Kyochon is good, but they are expensive. Plus the amount of chicken you get in a box is skimpy. |

Yeah, I always stick with BBQ chicken. I just wish there was a KFC that delivered here. Then again, from BBQ you can get a full chicken for 14,000 won and at KFC a half chicken is 11,000 won. But the way that original resipe stuff just falls off the bone is so delicious. |

ummmmmm okay... bye
That usually works for me. Works well if your in a prominent building. That gets me 8 of the drumsticks for about $14.
When I first discovered gyochon I was amazed by how good it was. Kind of gone off it after over-indulging, but I'm still curious what they put in that batter. |

Kyochon ain't good, I've had much better elsewhere.
That said, I have a place near me that sells a whole chicken for 6,000 won or 7,000 won if marinated. Most places sell a whole chicken for 13,000-14,000 won, which I think is friggin' ridiculous but I do order from time to time. |
