Hello,
arriving in Pohang on or around feb 2 was wondering if it would be possible to meet any of the expat neighbors for a drink or ten, I will buy, and who could show me around sunny Pohang City that first weekend.

Pohang is the worst city you would want to arrive in -

There are many bars in the downtown area of Pohang - around the main Post Office - Marlboro Bar, Giant leap, Whiskis bar, Hess bar, where all the foreigners hang out - problem is - they are either ILLEGAL teachers - over here working on tourist visas, Russian workers (at the local POSCO Steel Factory) or Mob members.

i lived in Pohang for one year - and found it to be the most corrupt, deceitful, dirty, polluted and worst city to live and work in - and believe me - I have been here a few years - and worked and lived around korea - and Pohangis the worst place to be - they are all in it together - (the police, Immigration Chief, Hagwon directors, illegals workers, Russian mob - to make friends with you - then F*** you over and leave you penniless - BEWARE -
If you are going to Pohang - stay away from everybody - and stay to yourself......

Well that was helpful to the poor bastard, Craig. Now, instead of buying everyone a round of drinks he's liable to shoot himself in the face, which is much worse.

I am sorry - but i really dislike pohang so much that whenever someone mentions the name of that city - it brings so much hatred back.

In fact I left Pohang 5 months ago - but am still involved in a Civil and criminal lawsuit against my ex-director, and others down there.

I would never return to that city - no matter how much somebody paid me - but hey - if you are destined to go there - for sure try to make the best of it..

Try editing your topic to include your question...something like..."Pohang here I come...drinks are on me!"
I think if you edit your first post you can change the thread title,

There must be someone here who had a better experience than Craig??
