I know winter break just started but my parents were thinking of coming over here during the summer and asked me the best time to come or when my break is.Since I am a newbie and did not find out my winter break schedule till 2 weeks ago from my school, I'm sure I will just get some black faces. So can anyone tell me when summer break for public schools happen to fall on. Thanks.

You can always bank on the last 3 weeks of August if you are renewing at your school. If you are not renewing I have no relevant information.

Kimchieluver is correct... there's no 'cut and dried' answer to your question. It depends on the principal and he/she won't know until five minutes before he/she makes up his/her mind. Wink

A couple of weeks into March, your school will deliver an annual to every teacher in the school. Ensure you get one. Two pages in the annual will contain the calendar for the entire year. Not only will the holidays be listed, but so will special events which will affect your teaching schedule (exams, field tripes, etc.).

for many GEPIK schools it will typically involve something like last week of July plus first 3 of August.

That's correct. I'm EPIK and that's what I seen this past year. July 26th through August 25th. Be here before you know it.
