|
|
I started the job hunt as I just returned back to korea last week and to my suprise recruiters are snobbing me!?!?
I have applied for a number of jobs posted on the internet, given my details and also mentioned if they have anything similar to talk to me. Days later nothing...
I am just...shocked...
Before they would harass me 24/7 when I was a noobie out of the country.
Now im in korea, f-2 being processed, with exp and ready to go. But nothing...
Hmmm |

Well all the jobs posted on the net are done by recruiters. If theres another way by all means tell me. I would prefer to keep them out of the loop to avoid their little white lies.
"Oh yes the job is in a big city" yet when I arrive I can't help but enjoy the country view. |

posted by recruiters, who never replied
I should also only mention I have been applying for the NOT BAD jobs like after school positions, public school etc
I pretty much only use work n play now, because it has the largest supply of listings |

They probably don't have what you're asking for right now. Bad timing is most likely unless they remember you applying and contacting them many times, but not taking a job. |

I also noticed they are more interested in me when I am out of country. Not sure why that is. |

Because you are more likely to accept a bad position from overseas. |

Yeah, when your a nooby you don't know about where stuff is, so they shift you out to their out of seoul jobs they can't fill. But then again I would work out of seoul but my wife wouldn't even consider the prospect of living out of seoul. That is just crazy talk! |

whats even more annoying, is showing up for an interview only for them to say the position has been filled. I guess im not worth the 5 cents to call...
If that happens to my other interview today im going to be pissed. Becauses it over an hour away. (yet the school is 5 minutes away, good job picking a recruiter so far from your school) |

Maybe the OP said "snobbed" to them and now they're avoiding the OP because of questionable English skills |

donno - was also wondering why you didn't know it was snubbed, not "snobbed" - is that even a word?
anyway, I agree about they'd rather have a newbie - recruiters are the worst of the lot - they want someone who doesn't know any better - the more experience you have the less likely they are to heap job offers on you.
korea, uh huh |
