I taught in Korea for 5 years (with an E2) and left 2 years ago. I was thinking about coming back but I`ve just been reading about all these new visa rules. I was wondering about the interview part which would be particularly difficult for me since I live about a 3-hour flight from the nearest consulate.

I`ve read that the rule is you need to do this interview if it is your first E2. Does that mean if it`s your first E2 EVER, or first E2 since the new rules (my question mark is broken) Smile

This sucks.

You will not need to do the interview provided that you do not have a black mark on your immigration record (i.e. overstay).

Thanks for the quick reply Smile My old boss is calling her friend at immigration to check it all out. I hope he says the same thing.

the interview is an absolute joke!!! I had to wait a week for my interview which entailed 1 whole question "how would you motivate your students?" complete waste of my time.
