Very slim chance.
To use your unlocked phone on another system, you need three things:
- same technology (CDMA or GSM) OK, you are CDMA.
- same frequencies
- have SIM cards
It turns out that Korean CDMA is slightly different frequencies that US CDMA. There is some overlap, so some US carriers can allow roaming in Korea. But I wouldn't want to count on it as my primary phone which this frequency difference.
Most Korean carriers do not have SIM cards. I have only ever seen one Korean phone with a SIM card, and I have never seen SIM cards for sale separately.
So I think there is very slim chance of using your unlocked CDMA phone here in Korea. |

This needs to be a sticky:
UNLOCKED PHONES WON'T WORK WITH A KOREAN CARRIER UNLESS YOU ARE ROAMING.
