Do you know about the Naked Man of Berkeley campus (Berkeley, California). He walked to class and did everything on camplus completely naked for a couple years.. just a backpack and a pair of shoes.. nothing else.. went to class, went everywhere 100% naked.

Maybe you could be the naked way-gook of Korea.

He went to school naked for a few years?
I didn't hear about him so I guess I'm not going to try that tactic.
Common people, let's hear some creative ideas . . . oh wait, we're teaching english to Koreans. Ok then, let's just hear some ideas.

Better yet, get KBS to start a reality TV show about you and Derrek dating. You go into Helios and sing excruciatingly loud and refuse to leave. Then, as the staff approach you, you claim that all jar-heads oughtta seok yoo..

Oh, and Anda's gotta be your Sugar Daddy in velvet attire and platform shoes.

Shoosh,

Ryst

Move out of Seoul [but don't relocate to Busan, Songnam, Ilsan, or Daegu]

You'll soon have people staring and pointing at you, and whispering about you all of the time; kids will be excited to see you and some of the braver adults will want to be your friend. If you move suddenly towards them and catch them off-guard, you may even make the odd Middle-school girl scream or swoon. In no time at all everyone will know who you are and your every move will be scrutinized and the subject of speculation and gossip. Pretty soon you'll feel like every Korean is a card-carrying member of the paparazzi.

Isn't that what being famous is all about?

I agree with Busajo.. even in my year in Busan.. I'd be walking around on Hyundai Beach.. and camera flicks would be going off.. my favorite was this Korean who looked like she was taking a picture of the ocean.. all of a sudden I walked near.. and the person actually suddenly turned the camera clicked off a pic of me.. and then pretended to go back viewing the ocean through the lens.

Mountain hikes are great for this too.. I went to Chirisan (mountain in the south).. I swore I was in 20 different photographs.. at least once every 30 minutes some group of strangers or another wanted my photo taken with them..

This list goes on and on.. but never had that in Seoul.. ever..

before going to korea the first time, having no idea at all what to expect, i kind of had these fantasies about becoming a lounge singer. closest i've come so far is in the noraebahngs, but there's not a lot of good lounge music in there. i'm still kind of clinging onto the fantasy. seeing as how i have no singing voice, i'm going to have to find a place pretty starved for entertainment.
hey marktoronto... are you good at anything? you're asking us to be creative, but you're not giving us a whole lot to work with. if you do decide to go with lounge singing, drop me a line.
