has anyone seen those dogs that have the same markings and colours as a husky, but seem larger and longer-haired? i've seen a few of these dogs, almost always tied up to workmen's trucks/carts. does anyone know the name of the breed?

If it's all or mostly white, then it's a Great Pyrenees - is this the one you're talking about?

It could possibly still be a breed of husky.
The Alaskan Husky http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/alaskanhusky.htm tends to have shorter hair, while the Siberian Husky http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/siberianhusky.htm has longer hair, sometimes an almost fluffy appearance.
