I'll be working in Hak-Dong. I know it's a very expensive area, so I'm afraid my school will put me in a tiny apartment near the school, tiny because rents are so high. So I'm going to look a bit on my own.

My housing allowence is 600,000W, but that's not necessarily my limit, though of course it's nice having the apartment fully paid for by the school. Still, if I find a nice place in a new building for 800,000W, I'll think about taking it. I've already seen 2BR apartments for 500,000W and 600,000W, maybe a half-hour from Hak-Dong, so I guess I'm only trying to improve on the commute. Space is more important than location, and being close to work is more important than being in a 'cool' area. Don't really mind a bigger place in a dead neighborhood.

So if anyone is renting or needs a lease taken over or knows a reputable English-speaking real estate agency in or near Hak-Dong, please let me know.

Thanks,

Tom [email protected]

The Seoul Global Center has a list of 20 English-speaking real estate agencies in Seoul that have been approved by the government.
You can call them at 02-1688-0120
I think their hours are Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm
