How do you find the 650 after the 250? Night and day or fairly similar?

I'm just asking because I owned a comet 250 in 03/04, and this summer I was thinking of picking up a comet 650 off a friend.

Actually, how's the fuel consumption. Much different?

Thanks for your help

Handling wise the two are rather similar, with the 650 being a little heavier feeling in corners. Personally I feel my 650 would really benfit from an aftermarket rear shock. Comfort wise I had the naked 250 Comet, so the 650 is not as comfortable for really long rides.

Pick up wise the 650 and the 250 are like night and day. As with most twin V engines the low end pulls really hard if you want it too, but the top end is not all that great being around 130 mph.

For the money in Korea the 650gt is a good deal, but back home I would have gone with a four cylinder Japanese fuel injected bike.

I've been looking around at FTRs and Apes, since I have a feeling of loyalty towards Honda, but your Comet seems in pretty good shape (aside from the tank-dent). What's the mileage on the bike, or rather, kilmoeterage? Confused

Thanks.

It has a little over 3100 miles on it since I have rebuilt the engine, transmission, replaced the electical system, and redone the back end.

One note on Japanese bikes in Korea, the parts can be hard to find/ take a long time to get and the maintenance tends to cost more when compaired to Korean motorcycles.

Of course, if you look at the pictures on www.travelingmanjoe.blogspot.com you can see them in the last picture.

I took the plates back to the DMV, because the bike was in my name and if the person who buys it from me does something crazy on it, the problems would come back to me.

If you want plates go to your local DMV and you can get plates for the motorcycle.
