I know hagwons very rarely phone up a previous employer but what about the likes of SMOE / GEPIK if you already provide them a reference letter/letter of recommendation as part of your application? Do they still phone up your employer back in your homeland or usually do they not bother?
(Have a reference letter from my last employer back home but I think he moved on to another job and therefore has different contact details to that on my ref letter.......would need to get it sorted if that`s the case) |

I've never heard anyone say SMOE contacted their in or out of the country references.
SMOE has gotten so big, but there is still a very limited staff size in the head office. They know their ass from their elbow, but don't have time to find either. |
