I'm exploring my options for getting an ESL job in S Korea this year. A friend mentioned that her friend used an agency to get a position and that seems like it might simplify the process.

Are there any specific agencies that are better than others? Any that should be avoided at all costs?

What criteria should I use when choosing an agency?

What can I expect an agency to do for me?

I'd like to teach in Seoul as opposed to a less urban area.

I'd appreciate any help you can give a newbie. I'm from the US, if that makes a difference in which agencies available to me.
